Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) released!

Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) was released today, and according to emerging reviews it is, as usual, one more step towards become a true desktop Windows competitor.
The latest version of Ubuntu includes the following new features:

Hardware management improvements – improved plug-and-play configuration for printers, as well as automatic firmware installation for Broadcom cards

Apple announced iPhone SDK under development

Another huge iPhone news item today.
Apple has revealed today it is working on an iPhone SDK to be released in February.
This means, in other words, Apple is opening up iPhone to 3rd-party developers to develop iPhone applications.
